Hello! I'm back this morning to talk about flowers. It's spring and the flowers are looking gorgeous in gardens and parks. Flowers are really popular on cards - they can be for any occasion, depending on the flower you use, the techniques and the colours. Some of my favourite (and recently discovered) flower stamp sets come from Altenew. Stampeddler has a fabulous selection of Altenew flower stamp sets and some have matching dies too.
Not only can you find multi-layer flower sets, but birds, butterflies words and some abstract sets too. You can see examples of the sets in use all round the store:
Here's a lovely display of tags featuring several different Altenew sets. The backgrounds on most of the tags was created using the new Tim Holtz Distress Oxides inks - such lovely colours!
Here are couple cards, one using the Painted Butterflies set, and the other using the Winter Cardinal stamp set. I love the blue bird - shows it doesn't just have to be for Christmas.
I mentioned earlier that I'd recently discovered Altenew - well it was here that I found the stamps. I've got several sets in my stash, so I thought I'd make a simple flower card - after all it is spring:
I used two sets from Altenew on this card - Spring Daisy, and the matching dies, and Painted Butterflies (words). The strip of design paper used is from Kaisercraft - Bombay Sunset and is available in store. It's full of gorgeous designs. Full details of my card can be found on my blog -
